Temples have announced details of the release of Strange Or Be Forgotten, the latest track to be taken from their forthcoming second album, Volcano, which is due for release on Friday March 3rd 2017 on Heavenly Recordings.

Talking about the track, Tom Walmsley said:

“We're continually inundated with pressure in modern life to have to make something of ourselves and leave behind a legacy in this world. 'Strange Or Be Forgotten' is our way of questioning the necessity of having to be all so individual and unique - when really it's our true selves that should be celebrated."

The track was self-produced and recorded at the band’s home studio in Kettering and follows the release of the first track to be taken from the album, Certainty, which racked up well over a million plays on Spotify and Soundcloud, bagged an A list on 6Music and a #1 spot on Hype Machine for 3 days straight at the end of last year.

Additionally, having played a very special, sold-out show at Oslo in Hackney in October of last year, the band have announced a run of UK and European shows in Spring of this year. The dates are as follows:

26th                                          Newcastle                                               Riverside

27th                                          Sheffield                                                 Leadmill

Temples released their debut album, Sun Structures, in February 2014. Bagging the prestigious top spot in Rough Trade Shops Albums of the Year list, Sun Structures also charted in eighteen countries, including a top-10 spot in the UK, and became the year’s biggest-selling vinyl album in independent British record shops, with early pressings of first single Shelter Song changing hands on Discogs for up to £150.

Less than a month after its release, the group played to a packed Shepherds Bush Empire and would later sell-out the Forum in London, make a number of festival appearances over the summer including Glastonbury, Bonnaroo, Primavera Sound and Lollapalooza and perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

Temples are: James Bagshaw (vocals & guitar), Tom Walmsley (bass & backing vocals), Sam Toms (drums) & Adam Smith (keys).
